| Opal believed her Angel Father was the French Prince Henri d'Orleans. Prince Henri was an explorer and naturalist. He died in Vietnam in 1901, when Opal was 3 years old. It is not known why Opal believed him to be her real father. This picture is a drawing made from a photo of Prince Henri in Calcutta India in 1896. The people behind Prince Henri were members of his expedition from Vietnam to Tibet and then to India. His journey mapped the course of the great Irrawaddy River. |
